Origins

There is no agreement on when the temple was built. The absence of a tall tower makes it likely it is not Majapahit at all, and Krom (1923) finds the relief remarkably Central Javanese. I see more resemblance in the later Majapahit brick temples such as Brahu, Jebong and Pari and therefore list it here.
